Iona Enjoys Taking Best Shot From MAAC Rivals

Feb 6, 2012 7:14 PM

Iona has received the best shot of every MAAC foe this season, most recently defeating Manhattan by an 85-73 final which was for first place.

“We love it. That’s the attention we want,” Scott Machado said. “We go into every game like we did tonight, we’ll be fine.”

Iona has had a habit of blowing big leads.

“We can’t take a night off,” head coach Tim Cluess said. “Everyone’s shooting at us. There’s a lot of energy, and so teams are going to play well against us.”
